posted 08/23/2010 Megan Cersosimo has joined the N.E.D. Lacrosse Club to help develop the Hartford County area lacrosse players. Her extensive knowledge and teaching ability will be a welcomed addition to the N.E.D. club program. "Working with the youth level gives me the ability to help younger players develop the basic skills and fundamentals needed in order to become a good lacrosse player." Megan is looking to form teams at the 5/6th and 7/8th grade level. Tryouts will be held Sept 12 and 19, to register click here.
Megan is currently the head girl's lacrosse coach at Conard High School in West Hartford CT. During her playing years she was a two-year captain for UConn. Cersosimo finished her lacrosse career as UConn's all-time leader in games started (58), ground balls (174), and draw controls (70). Her senior season was filled with accolades, including being named to the 2001 Big East Second Team. Following a prestigious playing career, Cersosimo made the decision to return to Storrs as an assistant coach under Bonnie Rosen. After five seasons, Cersosimo was promoted as interim head coach, before receiving the permanent job in November 2006.  |
